Motherboard Selection

As the name suggest, it is the mother of your computer. It controls all the components of your computer and offers various multimedia and other functionality to your system.

It is the large circuit board into which the Central Processing Unit, memory boards and peripheral cards are plugged. It is the most vital part of any computer as it holds and connects all your peripherals and add-ons to give you upgrade options and support for future technologies.





Check Before You Buy:


1. Check whether it comes with all the necessary options, support for upgrade-ability and extra slots for memory and other add-on cards.

2. Check whether it supports your Multimedia Cards that you plan to buy in near future

3. Check its model number and also processor compatibility.

4. If you want to add additional sound card, make sure that the motherboard supports the same.

5. To be with the latest motherboard, thumb rule is to check the series. eg: 880, 890 etc.

Simple Motherboard with all basic features will cost Rs 2500 - Rs 3500.

Advance Motherboard for Gaming and general purpose will cost Rs 5000 to Rs 7500
